John Gordon

Managing Director. John has worked for several major construction companies throughout the country. He has managed a wide variety of construction projects including Private and Social Housing, Distilling, Education, Health Care and Aquaculture in a career lasting over 50 years.
He is a native of Moray and has always taken an interest in local affairs. He was the Auxiliary in Charge of the Burghead Coastguard search and rescue team for 15 years and has been an office bearer in the Burghead and Cummingston Community Council for the past 20 years.

Director. Alex is Chairman of Ekopia Ltd., a Development Trust that has raised substantial investment capital for community projects in retailing, ecological accommodation and wind energy, and operates both a local currency scheme and a land trust in west Moray. He is also a consultant working in the fields of sustainability and social enterprise. His main interests are in creating community-based enterprises for both renewable energy and affordable housing projects. Alex also lectures widely in the UK on the prospects for a low carbon economy and the philosophy of sustainability. He is chairman of Development Trusts Association Scotland, a member of the Rural Development Council, which advises Richard Lochhead MSP, the Cabinet Secretary for Rural Affairs and the Environment, and a Director of Findhorn Wind Park Ltd.

Director. Joan has worked as a trainer, psychotherapist and supervisor since 1979. Co-founder of Centre for Supervision and Team Development. Moved to Findhorn in 1993 with her family. Director of Duneland since its inception. Subscriber to Earthshare CSA scheme since its beginning which led to becoming co author of The Boxing Clever Cookbook. Co founder of Findhorn Playback Theatre.

Chairman. As one of the Listener/Conveners of the New Findhorn Association (NFA) Eian represents the community association and helps with bringing the perspective of the community to the board as well as bringing DL perspective to the NFA council and others.

Director. A Certified Sociocratic Organizational Consultant, John heads operations in TSCG’s Washington, DC region. John has led dozens of Dynamic Governance implementation projects for a variety of organizations, resulting in greater efficiency and increased employee engagement. He believes that such basic values as equality, liberty, and transparency can make our work places dramatically more sustainable, elegant, and profitable. He excels in customizing Dynamic Governance principles to each organization’s particular concerns, work schedules, and professional areas. His clients span the globe and include plastics manufacturers, colleges and universities, long-term care facilities, co-housing groups, and software companies. John was the first person outside of The Netherlands to receive consultant certification from the Sociocratisch Centrum (now The Sociocracy Group) in Rotterdam,  The Netherlands. He has translated numerous documents from the original Dutch and is coauthor (with Sharon Villines) of We the People: Consenting to a Deeper Democracy.

Sam Shohet

Director. Sam is keen on developing community and shared community resources such as food production.

Stephen Neall

 DirectorStephen is a respected local tradesman operating a plumbing and heating engineering business.
