Dear Community,
Work on the site has started again with sewage drains and the associated manholes etc now going in on the actual East Whins Co-housing Cluster land. The contract for all the infrastructure work will be for the next nine weeks and will enable the site to be ready for the main contractor to start work in the middle of October.
Disturbance will take place in three weeks time (week beginning 5th September) at the top of the runway for a week as the contractors link in with a manhole near Katherine’s old bungalow. The major work down the main runway will not take place until the end of September/ beginning of October. All infrastructure work, including the resurfacing of part of the main runway should be complete by the end of October. The fencing will then be taken away from all but the East Whins site and free access to Cullerne and the fire pit etc will be re-established. The dancing green will be reclaimed before this as it has had material stored on it; a regrettable but unavoidable action.
Good to see the work progressing as we bring into form this next large step in the community’s development. Thank you for holding the work and what is happening positively in your thoughts. Bringing dreams down into form is not always easy but is something that really has power for this centre of demonstration and the many people that visit and hold the place dearly in their hearts.
